The Tree, No Wait, It's Called The Boy--Stuart

The Tree, No Wait, It’s Called the Boy
By Stuart Muerth

Once upon a time there was a boy, the boy was sad because he had no apples. Once upon a time there was a tree. The tree was really sad because no one picked his apples.

One day the boy saw an apple tree and he asked the tree, "Can I have some apples?" The tree said, "YES!"

So he took some apples, he didn't know why the tree was so excited that he took the apples. (Note: The tree was sad because no one took his apples.)

The boy told his friends about the apple tree. First, one boy took an apple. Then, the next day, another boy took some apples. The next day, another boy took some. And the next day, and the next day, and the next day. . . .

The next day, the boy came and said, "Can I have some apples?" The tree said, "But I don't have any." So the boy walked away. Then the tree did not have apples for six months! Then there was one apple. The boy ate it and said, "Bleh." Then the tree got mad like a baby who lost its toy. But the boy knew when apples were in season, so he waited and waited...

Finally apples were in season so the boy went to the tree. But on his way, he heard and ice cream man. The boy's friends also heard it. Then he got an ice cream cone and forgot about the tree. But when he took a bite...
..."YUM!" The ice cream tasted like an apple and was crunchy like an apple. He noticed it was an apple. So, he kept eating. "YUMMY!" His friends heard him, so they got apples, too.

The Boy
Once upon a time there was a boy, the boy was sad because he had no apples. One day he saw an apple tree and he asked the tree, "Can I have some apples?" The tree said, "YES!"

So he took some apples, he didn't know why the tree was so excited that he took the apples. (Note: The tree was sad because no one took his apples.) The boy told his friends about the apple tree. So, his friends got some apples from the tree. But then the tree ran out of apples.

But when he took a bite...

..."YUM!" The ice cream like an apple and was crunchy like an apple. He noticed it was an apple. So, he kept eating. "YUMMY!" His friends heard him, so they got apples, too.

The Tree
Once upon a time there was a tree. The tree was really sad because no one picked his apples. One day a boy came and said, "Can I have some apples?" And the tree said, "YES!"

So the boy took some apples. Then, the next day, another boy took some apples. The next day, another boy took some. And the next day, and the next day, and the next day...

And finally, the tree had no apples. The next day, the boy came and said, "Can I have some apples?" The tree said, "But I don't have any." So the boy walked away.

The next day, no apples. The next day, no apples...a year went by. Ok, it was only a week. Then fall came, still no apples. Winter came, still no apples. Spring came--and, finally, one apple! The tree said, "YAA!" It started to sing, "I got an apple, I got an apple,..."

Then he waited for the boy. He waited and he waited...finally, the boy came. He ate the apple and said, "BLEH!," and walked away.

Then, the tree got mad like a baby who lost its toy. Then the tree thought, "I have to wait until I get a red apple." Finally, it got a red apple. Then a woodsman came and said, "I will cut you down!" "No," said the tree, "try my apples." "Ok", said the woodsman, "but if I don't like it, I will cut you down!" "YUM!" said the woodsman, and he walked away.

The next day a group of kids came, but they weren't coming for the apples, they heard the ice cream man. The tree thought, "Why do they not like my apples?" But the tree had an idea. A boy came to eat his ice cream cone under the apple tree. The tree dropped an apple in his ice cream. "YUM!" said the boy, then some more kids came to get some apples.
