Did you know about the secret tunnels at Berkwood Hedge School? I found out that there were tunnels at Berkwood Hedge because my friends were talking about it. And I wanted to write about it and this is the story I wrote.
The secret tunnel has been at Berkwood Hedge for about 100 years. The entrance is in a cabinet in the Wood class. The tunnel goes to the sand yard. There is a big cave there.
Whenever you try to dig in the sand yard it gets wetter and wetter and hard like a rock. There's a big monster with a tail 5 meters long and red, gloomy eyes like blood who dug the tunnels.
The monster steals sand toys and makes new ones like recycling toys. There is also a secret, secret tunnel that leads to the library. Sometimes the kids at Berkwood Hedge forget to take the books from outside and the dragon-like monster steals them.
There's also a tunnel that goes to the pond area. The monster goes down in the pond and the plants are his food.
One day a little girl fell into the pond and got sucked in it and it seemed that the bottom disappeared. The next day they found her in the sand yard, but she was half-fish and half-person, so they took down the pond so no one would fall in again.
Then everything was good.
Until, one day an explorer dug and dug and dug into the sand yard cave and walked around and found out that the tunnel goes to the file cabinet and you have to pull the file to get in, like pulling a ticket. Then the explorer found a shovel and dug more tunnels and they built a new pond and the plants became the explorer's food.
Until, one day another little girl fell into the pond area and got sucked in and it went on and on in a circle. The girl got turned into a half-fish and half-person.
